Shipping & Returns
Postage costs are clearly shown before you complete your order.
Shipping Within the UK
We will send an e-mail to let you know your order has been processed and despatched. All Orders must be signed for at the point of delivery.
Orders typically take between 13 and 15 days to arrive this allows 10 days for manufacture and 3-5 days for shipping.
If there is likely to be any sort of delay with your order, we will notify you by email or phone at the earliest opportunity.
Shipping Outside of the UK
Please contact us if you would like to know the shipping cost for outside of the UK. Due to the weight of our sets postage/courier costs vary from approx £20 upwards dependent upon the country being shipped to, we will always seek the most economical method for your order.
Once you are happy with the postage costs we will email a Paypal invoice to you to make payment for your order.
Please allow 10 days for manufacturing and 6-14 days for delivery dependent upon location.
Customers outside the EU may be liable to pay Import Duty to Customs for their purchases, this is beyond our control and as such Craft of Chess can make no guarantee of whether you will have to pay or how much it will be, please note customs duties are the responsibility of the customer not the seller.
Items Purchased from Outside of the UK for UK Delivery
If you wish to send an order as a present to someone within the UK and are based outside of the UK this can be arranged and our UK delivery charges will apply. Please contact us first so that we can send you a Paypal invoice for the correct amount.
Returns and Refunds
In accordance with the Distance Selling Act the right to cancel or return items does not apply to
All items on the Craft of Chess website are made-to-order and painted to the customers exact requirements, as such items do not qualify for a refund.
However, should your set not be entirely to your satisfaction when it arrives then we are happy make a replacement set for you free of charge just send the original set back to us! (this offer excludes the cost of postage, which is required to be paid prior to the new set being manufactured).
Refund is available at the absolute discretion of the Management only.
Breakages
Should any of the pieces be damaged in transit please notify us by email on the day of receipt of your order and we will make arrangements for replacement pieces to be manufactured - broken pieces will need to be returned to us, both as proof of the damage incurred (and so that we can claim against the delivery service) and in order that we can match the piece in colour and finish.
Please note that any breakages notified beyond 5 days from delivery (based on the delivery date confirmed by our couriers) has passed will not be replaced free of charge and the replacement cost of £5 per piece will apply.
Replacement Pieces
Replacement pieces for your set can be made to order should you need them as a result of loss or damage. We will do our best to match the sets colour and finish as much as possible - this will require either the broken piece, or a piece from the original set in order to match the colour.
Replacement pieces cost £5 + postage charges.
